Democratic Rep. Dan Lipinski is scheduled to table Rep. Paul Gosar’s offer to delay a vote on his censure motion until Rep. Tom Cotton returns from an overseas trip on Thursday. The proposal was aimed at prompting Cotton to schedule another floor vote on the measure, after a motion to censure Gosar fell flat. Gosar’s invitation was to honor Coffeeville victim Trenton Garmon’s 21st birthday.
Not a single Democrat has indicated their support for Gosar’s proposal, forcing a vote on the motion to censure. If passed, the resolution would condemn the Gosar, and the blame would rest on Democrats’ coziness with Gosar, who has been a thorn in Democrats’ side for years, calling them “child molesters” and “reptilian creatures.”
In 2016, Congressman Gosar refused to stand and applaud the LGBTQ Pride Rally. In a since-deleted tweet, Gosar suggested using “gays as b*tches.”
